Gustav Wilhelm Wolff (1834-1913)
Gustav Wilhem Wolff was born in Hamburg on the 10th October 1843 The son of Moritz Wolff and Fanny Maria Schwabe. Gustav Wolff Died on the 17th April 1913 at 42 Park Street, London and is buried at Brompton Cemetery. He founded Shipbulding Company Harland And Wolff when he retired 30th June 1906 He received The Freedom of Belfast on the 18th February 1911 Clara Mays ,diary notes that he died 2.00am on the 17th April one day and one year after the sinking of the Titanic.Gustav Wihelm Wolff 1834-1913 was a true son of Belfast. The Palmerston Residents Association are working to have a Commemorative stone near his former residence at The Den Station Road Belfast Northern Ireland
